Yes, the GPA is grade point average. We don't have that in Canada either, and I amd from the UkK origianlly, the education system here is become less of a mystery each year as they travel up the years of school.

I like the concept of rewarding the kids who do well in school.

I was having lunch with the high school science teacher this week ( I was working in school) and he said without exception his best students are all gymnasts, highest grades, most effiecient and attentive.

There's a gym here that gives the girls a day off of conditioning if they get all As on their report cards. The rest still have to condition but those with good grades get to sit out and relax. Talk about motivation!
