Women Level 5 bars scores

I just saw some level 5 videos posted of a meet local to me this past weekend, I was shocked at how low the scores were. No falls, but a couple scores in the 7's including on bars, and there was no fall, and it was fairly clean. My own DD scored out of 5 last year, and while it wasn't a perfect meet (2 falls on beam) she still had some high scores, and nothing below an 8.

I'd love to score out, but our gym competes 5 and then goes to 7 for most. They think the nitpicky scoring and emphasis on skills better prepares the girls for optionals. My older child did not compete 5 or 6, so it's new territory.
