Level 6 to L7

I was curious if you also feel that pushing the envelope of L7 skills is better than having a "lesser" set of tools to work with at L8?

Ideally, you strike a balance. I don't think giants are really pushing the envelope in L7 in most places - again let's face it, that's developed to be the standard of that level. On the other hand, I don't think L7s have to have perfect giants, or another circling skill through HS, etc.

Certainly by L8 the competitive routines have strong circling elements, so ideally the prior competitive experience will include warming up, competing, and training these skills. A L7 doing free hip handstand to giants is doing the second half of a L8 routine - they're going to have to add another element in for a L8 routine. Ideally some of these skills are being introduced in L7, even if the skill sequence or amplitude isn't quite there.
