This was with the Level 9 Eastern information about the meet.

Well, in reading this thread, it seems to be more about making people use a photographer than anything. There is nothing like this in the MAG side, so it is not a USAG thing overall.

This same statement is in the premier section on usagym.org, and some are taking it to mean all meets.

I’m sure y’all got this by email as well:

Dear USA Gymnastics Professional Members, Meet Directors, Club Owners, Club Administrators and Parents:

With the regional and national championship season underway, we recognize there may be some confusion surrounding the photography/videography policy contained in the USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy. We want to state clearly that the current policy does not prevent parents from photographing or videotaping their own children. The policy simply requires adult gymnasts and the parents of minor athletes to give their permission to all others who want to take photos or video of our athletes. If you have further questions, please review the photography/videography policy in the Safe Sport Policy Link Removed. We are reviewing the policy for the purpose of amending it in the near future.

Thank You,

USA Gymnastics

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
