DD has been dealing with an acne problem only on her forehead for about 3 yrs. and she's only 11 right now. They are tiny, red bumps. Sometimes a little pus filled but mostly just bumps. She sees a dermatologist has been on prescription acne creams for a year with a little improvement but not significant. She has only had a few pimples on the rest of her face during this whole time. She used to have bangs, which covered it well but she grew them out at least a year ago. At first I was thinking maybe it was from a sweaty head, causing clogged pores but it just occurred to me that maybe it is more a reaction to something in the gym because when we went on vacation, it almost totally cleared up and she certainly was sweating on vacation. I see her wipe her forehead a lot during bars and wondering if the chalk is irritating that area...
Has anyone encountered this? I am going to consult with the derm. next week but would like some info from others' experiences first.
