Teach them the drop part of a drop kip and then teach the drop in a narrow stride position.

Set up men's p-bars to resemble the old fashion women's bars, or set up something else with some object and a single bar...... have the kids grab the upper bar and rest the base of their butt on the lower bar. From there they exrend into a very slight bow/arch (hips) and then pike quickly like they'd do to make a kip, but have them shoot the single leg and kip with one leg on each face (front and back) of the rail.

It's a swing skill so focus them on that fact before they get set in their head that they need to push the bar to come up. Kinda like it would be a mistake pull up instead of swinging during an uprise.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
