My oldest dd's competition is tomorrow, then she has 6 weeks before the NDP grades. I am not worried about the competition tomorrow, the only thing I am worried about if one of us gets sick (the dreaded tummy bug was begining to the rounds at school), I am crazy or do others worry about things like that?

@Tiny Dancer yes yes yes!! I always worry about getting poorly! One if my DD always manages to get an ear infection! Totally useful on a beam! Good luck to your DD at her competition

Grades are nearly upon us now! Has everyone got their entries in now. I always think that makes it real. Good luck everyone for those last few weeks.

I was just reading @Tiny Dancer 's other post and thinking the same.

Looks like we are not doing 8 as nothing has been said to P&F, so we shall choose which regional one to do nearer the date as our county holds them later in the year. (Typically behind everyone else). We did 12 at Christmas so maybe 10 this year.

Anyone else - entries should be in soon so what are you guys doing ?

Grade 14 out of age, very new to competitive gymnastics so feeling a bit overwhelmed as its all so confusing. Couple of weeks to go. Good luck to everybody.

In my experience 14 is a bit more "relaxed" When we did it there were lots of distinctions and even girls I despaired of ever passing the R&C came out with HC :)

Now I have seen the entries for AF north and south I can't wait to see the results in a couple of weeks. From the beginning of march I think there are competitions every week in different regions, followed by the Scottish, The English and the British . Then we have national finals for compulsory and national grades and Euros must slot in there somewhere before the summer levels competitions like the Wiltshire and Manchester Open. Lots to look forwards to! Super excited now!!

talking to P&F's coach on Saturday and I think she said its one of the last free weekend she has until possibly November - and we are hosting a new team comp at Witsun after the success of the open- details to follow for those interested.....

My dds compulsory levels are not till April so no entries in for it yet but its exciting to see her name on the Alpha Factor North competition schedule. It will be her first comp against other regions and were really looking forward to it. :)

There has been no mention yet as to what competitions my daughter will participate in this year. We tend to only know there is one on the horizon when they are scrutinised more closely than usual and dance work is given more priority. They are only ever small, local comps anyway but they love to do them.

I've got spectator tickets for my daughter and I for the English Champs next month. There are girls in the seniors from our gym competing and we're also watching the juniors, as my daughter is a bit obsessed with Catherine Lyons and Georgia-Mae Fenton. The venue isn't far away from us and my girl has never been to watch a big comp so we are looking forward to it. She would like to watch the British as well but I'm not sure I can swing that with work.

Entered for national 8 and only a few weeks away now - where has the beginning of this year gone ?? I can't believe alpha factor north starts 'a week on saturday'
