That's not long to make the numbers! Most stressful part of the competiton!

Ha ha tell tell me about it! The 'numbers competition' was the only thing dd won at last year's miss alpha factor - the pressure is on to repeat!!

We didn't stand chance! DD asked my other half to put flashing lights on hers this year!

I have no idea what the numbers competition is

Get out your paints and old yoghurt pots vbbf! The girls have to design their own numbers and they pick winners throughout the day (don't remember if it is each round or more than that). And that girl gets a special award.

instead of them printing numbers for the coaches to hold up to the judges they ask the kids to make their own. The best ones each day get a prize. Some of them are fantastic! If you scroll down the AF facebook page you will see some photos of them.

I think it's a competiton to see which parent can create the most elaborate number to show the judges! What was the prize for winning?

Thanks for that jenny and frase.:D We would of turned up without any numbers if it wernt for your mention. DDs coaches havnt told us anythink about having to make your own numbers. Good job i check on here regularly and im going to check the AF facebook now for some examples.

The ease of what can be created also depends a little on what numbers you get. I loved the '122' medals but that could only have been made with a handful of numbers if you knw what I mean - very clever. (ps that's wasn't my dd's)

yes. I am waiting for someone to dare to do '2 fat ladies' like the bingo 88. Mind you 22 could do 2 little ducks.

I got my friend to make it - she needs to challenge her "inner Bree" regularly of she will escape - didn't win diddle though, mind you the winner got a t-shirt I think.

Grades are nearly upon us now! Has everyone got their entries in now. I always think that makes it real. Good luck everyone for those last few weeks.

My oldest dd has put her entry fee in for her NDP Grades in April. Not long to go now, only 7 weeks away. What are Grades like compared to other competitions? Are gymnasts only entered if they are expected to pass?

Well at our club at least girls wouldn't be entered if they didn't have a good chance of passing.

I like grades. It's also a good chance to stay on and watch some of the older/higher girls which can be quite inspiring for the little ones - particularly if they don't have any that they train alongside at their own gym.

does anybody know what the spectator hot-seat is at miss alpha factor as i have seen it listed on timetable and don't know what it is.
