Well done to your DD vbbf :)

Well mine has finally stopped sobbing. Turns out she did speak up and say to check the routine list as hers had changed, but this coach refused to believe her. Decided to cool down and wait til Monday to have a chat with the HC as to what went on.
Reminded her even though she had to do it all with zero practice, she did incredibly well to place 6th.

Hope everyone else has a better weekend than us!

That is a great position to come without any practise xrachx. Good luck for 2moro frase

Oh wow xrachx that's really tough. Well done to you for holding it together and keeping a level head and massive well done to your dd for doing so incredibly well in those circumstances. She did amazingly well and should be so proud of herself! Hopefully she'll see that in the morning.

You obviously need that conversation with HC, but the harsh reality is that it's done now and all you can do is move on...

Well done to your dd vbbf, that sounds like an awesome result :) Some really impressive scores today.

Well done to your dd xrachx. She did really well to come 6th with no practice and well done to your dd vbbf. My dd also had a good comp and came away with something but I can't say what or her identity would also be given away.

Well done to all. If anybody finds any results posted of the Alpha Factor comp or you tube links please share. DDs turn soon part of me wants it over and another just wants it never to happen and I think she feels the same.

Sounds like a successful day one of alpha factor - let's hope that continues for those today! There were some beautiful gymnasts yesterday so you must have some little superstars for kiddies.

Floppycat the results have been posted to the alphafactor facebook page.

Well done vbbf to your dd.
Xrachx and well done to yours - it sounds like she did really well to place so high. Hope you get some resolution on Monday.

Quick question for those that competed this weekend how did you ensure that your DDs we're not absolutely tired by the end of the week to compete?

DD has today off school (we couldn't have physically got home last night). They've all been given tonight off training and are only limited training the rest of the week -she is missing Friday and Sat (competing sunday) as the coaches say they are 'ready'.

Don't think DD is ready! She is training every day until comp. HC suggests taking time off school.

Yes but she is probably undertaking an harder level than my dd. And the fact she is moving from compulsory 4 to national 8 makes it all a bit easier.

I'm sure she'll get there - it's amazing what a bit of adrenaline can do.

She probably needs a rest day somewhere to give her muscles a chance to recover. Some clubs don't train the day before a competition to allow for that and some have elite kids take the day before off school. You aren't going to improve much training the day before a competition.

Hi everyone I have never posted on here before :)My dd has just competed her grade 13 she did really well and came away with a distinction and a county team place. Last year she did pre-novice and got a team place too. She loves gymnastics:) Especially getting to compete :):)

We haven't managed to get to school today it was such a long journey

Great results, everybody. Congratulations to all.

I'm keen to see a startlist for the English, if anybody knows where I might find it?

If you go on tameside gymnastics website and click on competition information they have the running order to download for the english championships
