Fun game, huh? LOL

Okay, my kiddo is obsessed with the movie Stick It right now and she really likes the scene where they have the girls doing bar routines and tumbling in a really psychedelic way that looks like there are five or six of them on the bars at the same time.

Anyway, she wants to ask her coach if she can learn the mount that the girls use during that scene. Basically they run, hit the springboard, put their hands on the low bar before straddling over the low bar and grasping the high bar.

There is no actual skill....no kip, no handstand, nothing like that. Just a jumping over the low bar to the high bar. So does this mount have a name?

I don't know the name, but I've seen it quite frequently at college meets. One of my favorite mounts.

Here's a picture of it in the code. Also included are the next 2 steps up.

Am I interpreting correctly that it is an A skill?

Yes it is cool looking. I very much agree with you about appreciating a mount that is commensurate with skill level. I have a similar complaint with simplistic beam mounts at the upper levels.

And is it pronounced "heck" or "heckt"?
