Women Under grip thumb position

Just a matter of curiosity... when doing undergrip skills like front giants, endos, weilers, jaegers, is it preferred to wrap your thumbs around the bar or keep them close the rest of the hand?

Lily says she keeps her thumb around the bar, if it’s not around the bar you can peel off easier.

DD has told me that she is mandated to keep her thumb around the bar on literally everything. She has tiny hands (like freakishly small- even freaks out her HC) and it is a safety thing. Sadly this is difficult to do for her BECAUSE of her freakishly small hands and short fingers.
