I just have to give kudos to my dd's recent teammate: Link Removed
She is amazing, and tonight won the AA against Auburn in her first AA ever in NCAA!! She won vault, bars, beam, and AA. I'm so proud of her! I've watched her train for the last 8 years, and now here she is!! My dd is so...
My dd is a 5 year old level 3 who is super small. The vault is basically over her head. She has struggled with this event. Well, this weekend she nailed it. She scored over a 9 and got first place. I am just so happy for her. I know vault may be a nemesis for her because of her size but she...
Wow....Little Bit...overcame her vault fears..and 9.45 result! Overall 38.175 and a great meet. Her little team won the team award with only 4 girls!!! Best feeling.

Just back from Christmas on the Chesapeake. All of our gym's girls did pretty well. DD got a 9.025 on floor- best floor score and first COTC medal for her. Improved everything but beam. Congrats to my dd- rocking level 8!
So proud of my midget. Monday she was doing the L4 dismount on beam and she did not get far enough away and her hip slammed into the beam giving her a really nasty bruise.
Today she was very scared of the dismount, but she kept insisting she would get it herself without any help and did many...
OK...little bit is training at a gym near my parents this summer...been gone 6 weeks and tonight in a private did her first BHS on the beam....and stayed on...first 20....then BAM stuck it!! And again and again...
She is going to be a level 5 this year.....this was a just for fun...let's try...
Monday I took off work so I got to go to the gym and hang out. And got to see Midget do her ROBHS without a spot! The first one was pretty bad, but the next 2 were awesome!
So proud of that little girl.
All we lack now is the front hip, and still perfecting the dismount.
DD5 finally got her mill circle! This was her last skill to have all her level 4 skills. I seriously thought it was never going to a happen. Her coaches kept telling me she was close if she would just shift her hands. She is off gym this month and working out (aka playing) at her dad's gym...
Hi all,
I have been AWOL for awhile but wanted to pop in and brag a little!! Alex got her Round off back handspring back tuck on the floor this week! She has actually had it for quite a while on tumble trak and air floor but she lacked the confidence to do it on the floor. Not any more!! She...
Hey guys its been a while, things here have been crazy with my health. The kids have been back and forth to my parents as I have been in and out of the hospital. This has made things difficult for amber and the gym. So yesterday was states and her last level 3 competition. She has not hit a 36...
My MJ competed for the first time as a new level 4 team member(she's been on the team for 1 month now) at her gym's spring in-house meet. And she just got her ROBHS last night at practice and was able to compete it today with no spot. She got 1st place on floor, 2nd on bars(she did great, but...
after all the struggling with back walkovers until just recently.
Little Emily got her back handspring on medium high beam last night like she had been doing them forever.
WE are still repeating level 6 next fall because back tumbling has not gotten better and she is still not connecting her...
I just wanted to write down how happy I am of my little 6 year old dd. She has been practising back saults and she got it last night, She was so happy, it was so cute actually, jumping up and down screaming lol.
So Midget is moving to level 4 as I have said before. But wait, the coaches decided to change how they select the girls for the next level. Before they picked who they thought would be able to get the skills, now they have to have all the skills by April.
EEP!!
Midget was sick most of the...
DD had her 2nd Prep Op Rookie 2 meet today. Apparently she brought her A game to the gym today. Who knew ...........
We were a little out of our element because our girls were split into two groups so some were on one event and some on another (it is hard to cheer and watch two events and...
To think . . . I wasn't going to video tape this meet at all . . .
This was Jess's first home hosted meet. She was really excited, more about hosting then competing. She was all about helping at the other meets and handing out awards etc.
But first, she had to compete.
Up first is beam...
My 4 year old dd got her standing 2 back handsprings in a row and her squat on at preschool open gym today. She was doing single ones at open gym and I asked her if she could do 2 in a row and she did it over and over again!I thought the 2 bhs in a row would be a long time coming but I guess you...
Yes, Alex passed the kip test Tuesday night . Let me tell you I was soooo shocked when her coach came out after practice and said "guess who passed their kip test?" She had a private lesson Saturday before last and did not make a single kip during the entire hour lesson. Then they did not do...
