We're getting ready to head to the National Congress in Hartford, CT this week August 15-17. If you're there, please stop by our booth and say hello! We love meeting our wonderful Chalk Bucket friends. You can also pick up a free demo CD from us.
See you there!!
I've been trying to pick out floor music for the last month. It has to be here by the 28th so I'm running out of time! Last year I had party rock anthem and it was a disaster. There's hardly any choreography you can do to it and its gotten so annoying! My coaches are so thankful I'm getting new...
Is there a rule of thumb for what kind of floor music coaches/judges like to see for kids of a certain age/level. I know the floor music should fit their gymnastic style and personality but other than that I have no clue. Dd is in the process of picking out level 7 music. There is one pretty...
So we were given the go ahead to start listening to music and picking a song for my dd's floor routine. Where are the best places to look?
signed,
Totally clueless
This is my daughter's first year of doing gymnastics and she made a level 3 team for the fall. Does she have to use the music that is with the floor routine? She's deaf so she can't hear it. Is scoring partially based on keeping time with the music?
Her coach has never coached a deaf/HOH kid...
Hi, I apologize if this question has already been asked, I couldn't find it if it has. Does anyone know a great place to get good gymnastics music for floor online? I found some sites through a google search, but some are really expensive.
My dd loves disco, but the choices are limited...
I've found floor music, it's called Torn,
Torn - Gymnastics Floor Music - YouTube
I'm competing new level 6 though so it needs to be 1:15.
I was thinking maybe cut out the beginning and that might work? But all my cuts are choppy and don't blend at all, so if anyone else is willing to give it...
DD received her CDs in the mail today and I was very surprised to find two copies although I thought I only ordered one. Is it standard for two to come or did I do something wrong? I don't bank online so I can't check my account until the paper statement comes.
I was wondering how common it was to go to a meet and have two gymnasts in the same session with identical floor music?
DD received her list of possibilities recently and picked one. Don't get me wrong. I think she made a good choice but I also think that it will be somewhat common for her...
We've had lots of requests from several gymnasts and coaches to have the floor music they buy from us edited to a length of 1:20. Normally, we charge a fee to do custom edits.
But as a way to say "THANKS" to our wonderful customers on our 10th birthday, we are offering FREE 1:20 edits of our...
I am not sure if anyone has already tried this, but according to the USA Gymnastics website the new compulsory music is available for purchase on iTunes! Great idea.:)
Yay! Music for DD has been decided on. She will be using Under the Sea from the Little Mermaid on Energym for her first optional routines! She is totally excited although I might be cringing by the end of the season :D. At her gym she gets to give our choreograph a list of songs that DD likes...
I'm sure this has probably been posted somewhere at sometime in the recent past, but I can't find it, so I started a new thread (if you know where the other thread is, feel free to condense this one into it).
I have 2 DD's who are competing the new Level 4 (they were 4 last year and have stayed...
So my dad is really picky when it comes to my floor music. He keeps vetoing all my ideas. The one's I've used are Requiem for a Dream and Bombay Dreams and he really liked those. So I'm trying to find music that has the different dynamic and tempo changes that those two songs have. I really...
Which version of level 3, 4 and level 5 are you guys choosing for your girls?
Level 3 piano, flute or violin?
Level 4 piano, trumpet, or mix?
Level 5 piano, flute, or strings?
Just need to vent...why is it so bad?? I used to think the really old Level 6 music I used (what some refer to as the "funeral music") was bad. Sadly, it seems that is my favorite of the past 20 years. It seems to me they go about it all wrong. It looks like they make the routine and then find...
DD came home with some songs to choose from. I'm indifferent to most of them, but one of them I really don't care for (both parents are in agreement on this), and it seems to be high on DD's list. I'll wind up squirming in my seat every time she does floor if she picks that one.
Should I just...
