I'd share the article, but the last post in which I shared an article on this topic was deleted (with NO warning or explaining).......
So I guess I'll just share the information and you all can go dig the article yourself --- CMU coach was fired this morning for violating NCAA protocol on...
My DD and I are going to the NCAA championships in Fort Worth this weekend. She is so excited. We plan to get there early for autographs on Saturday. Does anyone have any tips for us. This is our first time at a college meet!
Hi all,
My DD is thinking of entering the school talent show doing a gymnastics routine. The prizes are cash-- $200 for first, $100 for second... Would this conflict with NCAA eligibility?
Thanks!
I didn’t previously think it was actually possible, but today I happened across a girl going to NCAA (div III, but still) from Xcel Diamond. She went from L8 to diamond in her senior year. I just thought it showed that you can have an alternative path to the “must be L10 by 9th grade” to compete...
I have read somewhere that, as a child approaches level 9/10 and is possibly considering continuing gymnastics through college, that they should maintain a list of C skills and above that they have and are working on (and know how to spell them.) My kid doesn’t know what skills are which...
I have seen this posted before and I am probably too late to do anything this year but I want my son to start visiting gymnastics camps at various colleges so he can get a feel for the campus and do gymnastics at the same time. What camps have you experienced and what colleges offer gymnastics...

So it sounds like recruiting at camps is out and official visits can start Junior year.
Do we think this is going to change anything or limit early recruiting in any way?
Anyone else watch the first session today? I don't get to see much SEC during the season, and I am really struck by Suzanne being on the floor with the Georgia team. How can Courtney possibly truly be the head coach of a team with the long time previous coach there?
I understand what NCAA Championships is, and the regionals process that you qualify through, but can someone explain what USAG Collegiate Championships is and how teams qualify? Can Division I and Division II teams compete at either/both? What about Division III?
I just saw this Chalk Warrior post on Instagram (see the attachment).
If it’s accurate it is a pretty major warning to all the kiddos (or should I say parents) who are accepting merch in exchange for promoting said merch.
Good on Chalk Warrior for checking into it and looking out for the...
I was just looking at the roster for Oklahoma and of 16 women on their team, 15 are 5'3" or taller. Four of them are 5'7". I'm curious about why there is still talk of people being "too tall" for gymnastics when the reigning NCAA champion team only has one competitor who is less than 5'3".
Do you lose NCAA eligibility if you get a corporate sponsorship for travel expenses. Let's say you make it to regionals and you are able to have someone sponsor your travel and fees to get there.
Just saw this over on another board..it's a blog post by Briley Casanova about her time at Michigan...it's her first person account that sent chills up my spine when I read it...

My daughter told me that her coach wants to take her to the NCAA gymnastics showcase this summer (I think our region will go to the one in New Jersey). I have done some research on the topic, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with one of these events and if you found...
Looks like NCAA trying to get a handle on early gymnast recruiting, verbal offers etc. They recently passed ruling that prevents programs from arranging "unofficial visits" for gymnasts until Jr. year.

So, there is a prominent YouTube family, their daughters are gymnasts. The family has designed and sold leotards with their channel name, hosted a gym meet and now they are designing a pair of Nike's to sell. Isn't all of this in violation of the NCAA if their kids want to compete in college?
I...
