Are the 2020 floor routines for levels 3-6 new routines to the old music, or have they just had the choreography changed slightly to reflect new requirements?
Hello fellow gymnasts. Used to do gymnastics myself when I was way younger a lot. Now for the last 4 years been trying to get back to it as much as possible. I can still do some basic skills that I have learned at young age - straddle planche, various handstand routines, pirouettes. I am trying...
Series: Front toss/ back tuck
full turn
switch leap split jump
a dance series (not sure what it is)
some other leap series
Cartwheel Gainer dismount.
I am mostly curious is she needs another separate acro element - I don't think they are planning on adding one.
I've been a competitive gymnastics coach for seven years now, and this is my second season as the head coach for our Xcel program. I've always choreographed the routines myself and taught them the same way. This season the problem I'm running into is that the Silvers just aren't memorizing their...
We paid a choreographer for a floor routine, and found our own music. My daughter competed it for two seasons, and we have now left the gym because it is unsafe. Tonight we found out the coaches have given the routine to another girl. Is this common? She really loved the routine and felt it was...
My twins are compete xcel Gold this year as a transition between 4 to 6 and will test out of 5 in January. Their first meet is in 6 weeks and they still do not have floor routines. We have been waiting all summer for the routines and now I feel like 4-5 weeks will not be enough time to prep...
I was thinking... my daughters gym seems to have their gymnast do tougher than required skills for their levels. Which in some levels those types of routines will score better, but i feel level 9's judging isn't conducive to girls doing harder routines. It seems like the gyms that have their...
Hi, I’m new here :)
my daughter is 9 years old and is going to compete level 8 in spring. She is fairly good at beam, got a couple 9.5s as and 8 year old in level 7, competed a Bhs bhs series last year...but she gets very nervous for this event! For fun, she asked me what is the shortest...
My dd is training level 9. Wondering if what’s she’s working towards will give her high enough starting values. She’s not 100 percent certain what her routines will be but this is what she’s working on.
Bars- kip on low bar, squat on jump to high bar, Kip cast handstand, pirouette, overshoot...
Hello!
Can someone tell me what bar skills are required for an optional routine at an elite qualifier meet?
If you could also include the letter/score with the actual skill name that would be so helpful. Right now she has a stalder, toe on, Maloney, pirouette & is working on a pac ( sorry hope I...
I know they have the 4 screen live feeds right now but wondering when the individual gymnasts/events would be available. I can't remember from past years. It's just too difficult to scan through the 4 event feeds to find particular gymnasts.
*Sorry about my previous blank thread, btw how do you delete those or edit them??*
Hi, i'm about to be a first year level 10 since my level 9 season is over at the moment and recently I decided with my coach that I wanted to only compete two tumbling passes instead of the usual three next...
Hi, i'm about to be a first year level 10 since my level 9 season is over at the moment and recently I decided with my coach that I wanted to only compete two tumbling passes instead of the usual three next season. My tumbling is fairly weak and all I am able to manage is barely a double tuck...
My dd is preparing to score out of Level 5 (our gym doesn't compete 5) She is currently having a bit of a mental block on her BWO on beam. It's a skill that she has done in the past but has sporadically caused some fear. She used to have a very flexible back so it has always looked good. But...
My daughter is almost 8. She has been on pre-team since last summer. Her gym starts competing at level 3. For the last month they have started learning routines. She seems to have a hard time remembering the dance moves on floor and beam (she generally struggles with memorization). I'm concerned...
