I was really disappointed today.
I clicked on the advert for Audible the amazon app and it sounded good but after the free download found out you pay each month and choose a new book. Don't want to commit to anything to pay regularly.
Any recommendation for good alternative apps? And download sites for audio books? Is amazon my best bet? Do they just play on your music player app?
(yes I am technically challenged!)
Looking to play on long car journeys and walks to work!

Lol x
I chucked mine out. (virtuous emoticon)
I don't necessarily mind paying for the books but don't want to commit to paying monthly.

Our local library has a digital library that is free. I use Overdrive app to access it (must be a member of a library that participates). They have audiobooks as well as ebooks. Only thing is waiting is long for new releases, but tons of stuff.

Also recommend checking your local library to see if they do electronic lending. Ours also uses overdrive.
Or you can borrow from the library on cd.
Or many online stores eg book depository sell audio books.

Another recommendation for Overdrive, (uk) I have my local library membership & use the overdrive app. It's all free but have to renew the book if I haven't finished in 14days.
