bringing front handspring to the ground?

I do it perfectly on the trampoline, but i like, can't spring up and always land hard on my butt on the ground. and i can do it with a spot. help?
 
Do you hit your feet and then fall on your butt? If so you are probably "sitting up", meaning bringing your chest and head forward to quickly after your hands leave the floor. The fix is to watch your hands (I've been told that telling gymnasts to watch their hands is good) and maintain an open, tight arch body position.
