I broke my finger doing a backhand spring I was having issues that particular day and had asked a coach to spot the skill. The skill went wrong and I stabbed my finger into the floor. I have had spotting issues with this coach before and although it wasn't totally he fault I'm nervous about practicing again. I'm afraid of hurting myself again just worse and I don't exactly feel comfortable with her spotting. How do I get over this fear? The injure wasn't her fault but I keep finding myself blaming her, how do I get over this?

I've done something very similar to this in the past. I've broken several fingers... I went through a period where I would only really trust one coach to spot me on certain skills. I think the best way to deal with this is to communicate your fear with your coach and maybe, if possible, try having a different coach spot you on the skill until you're feeling more confident again.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
