DD accused of cheating during practice... Help?

Haters gon' hate, you know? They're probably just jealous, so I think the best course of action would be to just tell the kid she's not cheating, they're being silly and jealous and she doesn't have to worry about them. I know actually not worrying about them is harder than it sounds, but hopefully these girls will calm down once she has been on team longer.
 
I disagree with the whole "they're just jealous" thing. A lot of kids are told that whenever someone is mean to them it's because they're jealous and that just isn't true. Maybe they are, but it's not a good answer to everything.

If this is a constant thing the coach may want to watch out for it. If your daughter is capable of steadily telling the other girls to stop being mean, it's amazing how much "stop being mean." will do.
