I saw a story about a month ago that alleged at least one parent reported Nassar to geddert in the late 90's. I think the article said that family is suing geddert.

He got to "resign" instead of being fired for misconduct. Let alone not being charged.

The incident was in 2014 -- I guess the US men's team's performance at the Olympics was deemed more blameworthy than this.

Wow - yet another case handled really badly with no real action taken and the person allowed to resign and move on to new teams - so much deflection and so many excuses from USA gymnastics.
USA gymnastics really need a big change at the top as the do nothing/cover-up culture seems ingrained at the highest levels

I think this is the most recent thread on the subject. Kamerin Moore, a former elite gymnast, made a reflective video on her terrible experiences. Kudos to her for speaking out so eloquently. The video is somewhat confronting, but if you can handle it, it's important to watch:

So hard to watch. As a mom my heart hurts for her when she explains that she's not sure if it's better or worse that she didn't find out it was wrong when she was younger.
These girls were his perfect prey "I knew I was uncomfortable, but he was a good doctor, so I didn't question".

Bravo to her for telling her story. But wow, it just shows what a monster he is, I wonder how many victims he has. So incredibly sad that this went on for so long and no one believed anyone who came forward.

Empowering individual athletes (and parents) by identifying traits of and experience with a child predator will lead to significant positive change.

If she's willing to include her video with an organization's nationwide child-abuse prevention effort - God Bless her.

It also contained a shocking allegation that USA Gymnastic's lawyers have been attempting to dig up dirt to smear some of the former gymnasts that made the original allegations again Nassar/USA Gymnastics

If there is any truth in this it is truly shocking and shows that little has been learned at a corporate level
