WAG More common to score out of 4 or 5?

Our gym had 3 girls score out of 4 this past season and finish as 5's. Nobody scored out of 5 - that was the original "plan," but they jerked it out from under us two weeks before the first meet.

The gym also has some more girls set to score out of 4 this year and go to 5, although I don't know how many and sure as heck don't know why.

I will never understand my gym.

With the new change, our gym is starting to ignore L5 too. Our girls compete L4, then do a meet at L5 early in the next season before moving on to L6.

This year our gym had girls score out of 5 and compete 6, or 7 if ready. I recently had a conversation with our gym owner though, and she talked about doing 5 again instead of 6 as 5 is tougher, and she believes a child who does well in 5 will be a strong optional. She thinks 6 has been too easy, I guess.
