Hi all, will post this in UK too in case this isnt the right place but my son is competing a squat through shortly in a comp (United Kingdom) and I wondered what are the constituant parts to get a "perfect" score. I'm an assistant coach and would like to be able to spot him more effectively. he has an awesome "reach" on the springboard length but i'm sure there is more to it than that! Would appreciate some tips/comments ! (he is 9 - this is his first year competing)

not sure but I think they look for block off the top keeping chest up and a stuck landing. And good luck.

I'm sure I've seen something somewhere, I think it was a london region doc on the BGA site as their f&v comps are huge.

I'll go see if I can find it...

Scroll down the page to the"Gfa competition rules revised june 2013" link- it will open a document and on the 3rd page (I think!) there is a really nice breakdown of all the deductions, by phase.
