Just a quick question,

The other day at a meet I saw my starting value on bars was a 9.5...? My coach said it was because I don't cast to horizontal. I was just wondering what would happen if they started you with a 9.5 but you did cast to horizontal. Would they add five tenths?
Thanks!

The judges wait to see how high your cast is(and how you perform everything else in your routine), before determining the start value. So if you meet all the other requirements and cast to horizontal next time, yes you should start from a 10.
