Hey guys, I recently started coaching(well not so recently, like 7 months ago.anyways:)) and my level 2's are starting to work on stride circles. I was wondering if anyone has any good drills or recommendations for teaching them. I have never taught this skill and kind of lost on how to guide my girls into understanding the key concepts. ex pushing on the bar at the end and keeping the split throughout the whole skill. Thank you for your help!

One drill I use is to lower the bar and place a spotting block in front of it. Have the girl push up on the bar and take a BIG "step" forward trying to reach their foot out the block as far as reasonable for their size. Make sure they keep pushing themselves up throughout the process and nice, straight legs. You can see it here at about :50 (and some other ideas):

This is another good one:

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
