Today I talked to DCoach and asked if he could have DD do vault in slo-mo. He smiled and said, 'then I have to hold her and stop her in every section'......I said 'yes, she only weighs 50 lbs'. And we both laughed. He said he was not worried, that there was plenty of time before the summer meet, and he was sure she would have it. I explained that SHE was not sure! And SHE was worried, and was afraid to talk to him...
Lo and behold, he had her jump over his head, while holding her hips, then froze her in handstand, focused on tight body position, etc. she was going over in no time, ALL SMILES, no fear!
I told DD to thank him for making a special exception for her needs, which she did. DD said she loves her coach, and that he is the absolute best, AND when he retires, she must quit!LOLOLOLLL.
Now we will see what happens Monday.......

That is how our coaches start all the girls out on the vault. One coach in front... gymnast goes overhead... get her into the right position... a coach in back takes it from there... ;)
