Does anyone know of any good summer camps (mid-south area)? I'm looking for states surrounding/near TN (MS, AL, GA, MO, AR, KY, LA). My DD will move to level 8 this summer. I need a camp that lasts 3-5 days, commuting or resident. Thanks!:)
Sleep away camp is not for everyone, but it is fabulous for the child who is ready.
So here is my camp checklist.
My child
1. is happy sleeping away from home for more then a night (not just with Grandma either).
2. is not afraid of lots of thing like the dark, bugs, strangers, scary camp...
Sorry to all if this has been discussed before but would you mind sharing your opinion on this good or bad (I can take it)...
My DD's gym sent out info on a summer camp that they are trying this year. It is the National Gymnastics Training Camp in NY. I thought this was a no brainer "no" my DD...
I know this may be a bit early, but are there any good camps? We live in Memphis,TN and all we hear about is FlipFest in Knoxville, TN. We've been there and by DD liked it, but would like to get out of TN. I'm looking for something that is within a 4-6hour drive. Any suggestions?:)

Hello,
My 9 year old daughter is interested in taking some time off cheer and doing gymnastics full time starting in April. She has been cheering since she was 6 yrs old and just started taking gymnastics classes. Would it be beneficial for her to go away to camp--I was thinking about Woodward...
We are looking for a Summer Camp for our DD, age 10, who is currently a Level 5 gymnast. Our hope is to find a good one in Colorado (somewhere between Colorado Springs and Boulder).
Does anyone know of any camps in that area? I did find a brochure from CATS in Boulder. I am hoping that...
I have an 8 yo DD who is currently on pre-team @ her gym, and has been doing gymnastics for almost a year now.
She has expressed interest in attending summer camp next year, but I'm not sure if she will be old enough or experienced enough to "get" anything out of summer camp. I've checked some...
So what skills did you get at camp this yr? My dd got RO with 3 BHS, her Front tuck, backwalkover on beam, squat on and jump to high bar. (she was resistant on those but got over her fear  ) My dds coach had her write the new skills down in a journal before we left and pack the journal in...
Gymbabi is very excited to be going to gymnastics camp this year. She's never been away to a full week camp before, although she did go to a trainaway weekend at the same place last year. Has anyone sent a gymnast to Woodward West before? JUst curious as to how anyone else felt it stacked up.
