On a Giant Diamodov on Parallel Bars would you instruct the gymnast to kick the giant upwards or over? Two different techniques, wondering thoughts from anyone who has performed or coached them.......Personally I think a giant that goes over is much more suited then upwards however I have heard...
I'm a level 8 and my second half of my bar routine would be kip cast handstand(straddle up to handstand) giant giant flyaway(when I get it controlled enough to do a flyaway.) But my coach said that the judges don't like two giants in a row so I should do one giant then half twist my dismount so...
Personally, i'm a fan of neither team, however, i LOVE football.
In this particular case i'm going for the giants, bc i'm sick and tired of the PATRIOTS winning everything under the sun! So lemme know who you're rootin for... And, anyone goin to a superbowl party? Anyone throwing one?
My daughter is going to compete level 7 this season she is still struggling with her giant does she need it for level 7? Also how do you deal with fear of this skill she can cast to handstand and do giants with a coach spot but not alone she is stuck in a rut any ideas?/

Why does this tap work?

My daughter is trying to learn how to do a giant so she can compete level 8 this spring. Our gym does not have a strap bar - which drives me a little nuts, but is what it is. Her dad is very frustrated and thinks she should have it by now. ( if she does two in a row she can pretty...
Anyone have any advice on getting those legs straight in the giant? Gymbabi is frustrated, her giants that were straight legged when she wore her shoes (after the cast came off, the doctor said to wear athletic shoes for a month) are now bent. I think it's just getting her timing all adjusted so...
