I'm having a hard time figuring out how girls qualify for the National Team as Senior or Junior Elites. I had assumed it was the top 10 or something like that (with ties included). My skills with search engines are failing me though, because I haven't been able to find an answer and simply counting members of past teams on the USAG website yields teams of varying sizes. I'm guessing perhaps there are qualifications for event specialists in addition to All Around.

Hoping someone can answer this for us! Thanks in advance!!

From USAG:
Qualification to National Team
Seniors - Top 6 AA from Championships (total AA score of both days competitions)
Juniors - Top 6 AA from Championships (total AA score of both days competitions)
Up to 8 additional funded slots (Junior or Senior) may be selected to the National Team
based upon the needs of the National Team

They will announce those 6 each right after championships, and perhaps a few more that may have been injured for this meet, or have 2 or 3 strong events but donn't finish top 6, gymnasts who would be in the mix for an international assignment. Others may be added later in the year when they are chosen for an international assignment. The rosters are bigger than those numbers going into this weekend, because athletes(mostly juniors) were added this past winter and spring to compete in international assignments.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
