Happy to be able to say that dd did not quit after our last meet and we were able to compete at Chicago Style on Friday. DD got her highest AA score so far as a level 6 (32.825 - not quite the 33 she was hoping for but so close).

She was on vault first - score 8.25, still can't seem to get the pike out of her take off.

Next up bars, where she did her best routine of the year, another 8.25, good enough for 16th place and a medal. Her first medal on bars this year, so she was happy. Also her first score over 8 on bars.

On to beam - she was a little shaky and seemed to rush through her routine, so it didn't look as polished as she has been. Score 8.275.

Last up was floor - routine was ok, she didn't make the dreaded mistake of turning the wrong way but actually scored lower than she did when she turned the wrong way last time. 8.050

One more meet to go!

Congrats on the personal best AA for Level 6! Sounds like she continues to make improvements! Good luck on the remaining meet!

Congrats on improving the All Around! We had the Friday 8am session of level 6 and I found that they were scoring really tight. Way to go!

We were there yesterday in the afternoon session... and thought the scoring was tight too.. sounds like your DD had a great meet! Tell her congrats on her 1st Bar Medal! That is a huge accomplishment

Glad that she is sticking out for at least awhile. Those are very respectable scores at level 6. Judging seems tougher and those 8s and 9s are hard to come by. She should be proud. And glad she got her direction right on floor, that had to be a confidence booster! Congrats to her!

Congratulations to her for sticking with gym and for getting the highest aa score so far for her in this tough level! She keeps improving, so she has a great shot at her aa goal for her next meet.

Glad to hear she didn't quit and managed to go the right direction during her floor routine. She seems to have had some personal bests at this meet, which is great. My dd just competed her first Level 6 meet and it is a tough level.
