From memory I think it is basically a winning seat draw. All seats have a number and they narrow it down by block, row etc till one person is remaining and they are at winner.

I can't remember if it was miss alpha when they do the handstand comp? They pick adults who then have to nominate a gymnast of their choice to represent them in a handstand comp. That was fun to watch but we then went to another comp where they did the same thing - picked adults for the handstand competition. My husband got picked and feeling confident about how it all worked we were discussing whether dd would want to be picked. However, little did we know this competition was different and he actually had to do the handstand - it was soooo funny - if not a little humiliating for dd!

Well, it's official, DD is now competing F+V this Saturday. Was all up in the air following on from the issues we'd had with her old gym, but after a long heart to heart with the HC and deputy, everything's sorted and she's back with them until we move.

DD is now working hard to get her new (and higher level) floor routine in her memory by then, just hope it sticks!

Is it a big change? Has her vault stayed the same ? Hope she gets it in time for Saturday.

Vaults staying the same, FHS. Found out she can land it as long as no one tries to spot. As soon as a coach interferes, she lands on her bum lol

Floor though, fairly large changes. All bar about 3 moves, everything else has changed, and the order has too. She ended up staying late with her coach to run through it, plus she was mentally running the order through in her head backwards at home all night, so hoping she'll be ok once she's had a final practice later this week *fingers crossed!*

Good luck to your Dd vbbf! :)

I think the Welsh championships are this weekend and they have some really good gymnasts trialing for the Commonwealths - Angel Romaeo, Raer Theaker, Georgina Hockenhull, Jessica Hogg, Lizzie Beddoes and more. It should be a very strong competition :)

DD placed 6th overall, but came home in tears.
Lots of questions going to be asked next week as her normal coach left before DD warmed up, and the coach who took over refused to let her compete the F&V she'd been training. Feel so disappointed for her :(
