    WAG liquid bandage for rips?

Has anyone tried the liquid bandage products for rips? I am curious if it helps with the pain of doing bars with a newer rip.

DD has come home from training tonight with her very first rip - luckily not her dominant hand! It's only small but I'm not sure how to manage it and ?prevent it happening again. Any wise words you can give me?? Thanks in advance!

    WAG Rips help

Pea has been working furiously on getting her two giants in a row. She came home today sniffling, with bloody hands. Any tride and true home recipes for helping her? She's usually a tough cookie, so I have to assume they really hurt :(

WAG Another rip question (re: DAT stick / Dermoplast)

After the rip has started to heal (no more open wound at all), but while it's still tender and making kips "IMPOSSIBLE!" (DDs word), I have heard of putting Anbesol on the hand to numb that area a little to help power through the pain. We haven't tried iet yet, as the aforementioned rip just...

WAG Why do some kids rip or not?

DD almost never rips. She is a level 8 and in the gym 20 hours a week. At the moment she is in a boot so she is doing double and sometimes triple bar rotations, but still no rips. She doesn't do anything special to her hands... No filing callouses or moisturizing or anything. When she has had...

    WAG Healing Rips

My good news is that I got my flyaway today! But then I went to work on kips and now I have a bad rip. It's pretty deep, like enough to bleed and I really want to keep practicing flyaways and kips (I'm so close!) but that's kinda hard to do. So what methods do you use for healing rips faster? I...

    WAG Kips,grips,and rips....OH MY!!!!

My dd is an XCEl silver this year. Her coach does not uptrain much. She insist that they perfect one skill before they can uptrain for other skills. Hence, she will not let them train kips yet and will not let them get grips until they get and perfect their kips. Well, yesterday, they were...

    Parents First Rip!

DD (age 7, level 3) was so excited to get her first rip! Coaches gave her a tape grip, she feels like such a big kid. I don't know how I'm going to convince her to take the "grip" off before she goes to bed :-)

    MAG First Rip

Little guy got his first rip today. Fortunately it was the last ten minutes of the last practice for the week. So we've done the antiseptic, sterile gauze, athletic tape thing for the night. Any other tips? By next practice he should be good to go. He's kind of proud of himself .

WAG rips and search of "boogies"

We call the gooey things you put on rips boogies at our gym. Not sure what they are really called or where to get more. Anyone know what I'm talking about???

    WAG Wrist Rips

So far this season my DD has been plagued with wrist rips. She is a new 5 (old 6), but she trains higher level skills, uses the strap bar, etc. This is the first season she has had these rips. She tapes balloons to the rips, and is currently wearing 3 of them. The balloon trick does work...

    MAG (G)rips :(

D said goodbye tonight to his first pair of grips. Ripped the finger holes during his routine tonight. He was so sad. I think he was a little too attached, lol. They are in a place of honor hanging in his room now.

    Do rips scar?

I rip pretty often, and though the actual rips heal in decent time, there’s always a faint splotch left behind. :p As a result of this, both my hands are covered in little splotches. I've always wondered, do rips leave permanent scars?

    Rip Situation

When I get rips, they're always when I go practice at the park (there's metal bars there), but never at practice where there's a wooden bar  Anyone have the same situation or explanation of why this happens? Thanks :) By the way I wear chalk at practice but not on the playground bars.

    WAG Need quick rip help

I know rips have been discussed many times. I am looking for advice for how to hobble by for a couple of days with a rip. My dd is a L4 and is not used to having to do bars with rips. She only practices 6 hours a week and in the past when she has had a rip, she has just skipped bars until it...
