Has the mobility score for L4 always been 34, or was it recently raised? And what is the rationale for having it so much higher than the L5 mobility score?
This is not meant to be controversial! It's an honest question. Nastia consistently scored nearly a point higher on bars than any score that was awarded to those who were best on the other events. I have found SO many flaws with Nastia's bars.

-Flexed...
My daughters had their first meet of the season yesterday and they did well. It was a small meet so they placed well...second AA for both of them. The level 9 fell on beam and got a 36.4 and the level 7 fell on bars and got a 36.425. I was wondering what you all think typical start of season...
My daughter has not had her first Level 5 meet yet, but in looking at scores from a meet this past weekend, there were A LOT of really low bars score ( 4s and 5s) in level 5. Is this a known thing? I've never seen scores that low and have another child competing 9.
If a JO coach believes there is an error in a gymnast's score, what is the procedure to challenge the score? Or is there an informal procedure by which a coach can get an explanation of the deductions without requesting a change to the score? Since there doesn't appear to be a standard form for...
My daughter (7 years old) competed in the NC State meet this weekend (USAG T&T). This was her first year of competition, and has won First place in tumbling at every meet until the State meet. She received a zero on her first pass (level 4 - power lift round off, back handspring). The coaches...
Our 9s are competing today. I thought that you needed a 32 to go to states but we have girls who only competed 2 events all year at states. Those girls also got the qualifying score today to go to regionals.
I know they can declare a specialty and they have to do it before hand but that's...
ODD is a repeat L6 (we are at a no giants, no L7 gym). Had her first meet this weekend, and her floor score was WAY higher than last year. All the floor scores were high, so I think the judges were just generous or tired or something. I don't want to burst her bubble, but I do want her to...
So Puma Jr apparently had been struggling with her tucks out of nowhere, and HC decided to scratch her on floor. She held it together at the gym (she found out Wednesday and meet was Saturday) but the ride home and bedtime was awful. She was devastated. Hysterical. My heart broke for her, though...
Every time I begin to think I understand scoring, then I get confused again. I know, I should stop trying but well ...
I am curious what others think this level 4 bar routine would score. I will tell you the actual score once I get opinions; parents, coaches, judges really happy to hear from...
My daughter has switched from artistic over to T&T (and loves it!). She will begin competing in January. Question: We are used to being able to track all of her meet, states, regionals, etc scores on mymeetscores.com just by searching her name. Does T&T have a website that tracks the USAG...
I was going through meet scores and saw that one very laid back gym in my area had one girl score a 4.5 on floor in level 4. I'm curious what one would need to do to get such a low score. Forget the entire routine or just miss multiple skills?
Ok sorry if this is a dumb question, but DD doesn't have her first meet until December so I don't know how this works yet....to qualify for state, is it an AA score from one meet or do they use the highest individual event scores from the season? Just Curious.
