Does your team have an end of the season banquet with awards given to the gymnasts? If yes, how is it handled? Does the gym pay for the venue, catering and awards? Does the Booster Club pay? Are the attendees charged a fee per head? What type of awards are given? Are there activities/games or just the meal and the awards ceremony?

Thanks in advance for any input!

Our gym is new so this is going to be our first banquet. The booster club is paying for everything. As the team grows we will probably charge a small fee per family to help offset the cost a bit.

We have an end of season banquet. We don't have a booster club. Kids on team are free...family members are charged a small fee for dinner. The kids get trophies, special awards, an annual gift (t-shirt, workout pants, etc).

We usually have a banquet and the last two years it has been a potluck at a local park. We hand out fun and serious certificates to each gymnast. Everyone gets an award. They range from MVP of optionals and compulsories to the most flexible. Something to recognize each gymnast. Nothing fancy be we all have fun.

We have a banquet with I believe a 20 dollar fee. We dress up, have a nice dinner and give awards. Awards are given per level for things like vault, bars, beam, floor, Miss Flexible, Miss muscles, Most character, dependable, consistent... Etc just things like that. It's tons of fun!!

I also forgot to add that we have 2 a year. One for optionals and one for compulsories but the whole team is invited to both but optionals don't get awards at the compulsory banquet. And vise versa.

Yes, we have a banquet each year. People pay to get in--I don't know if they charge extra to cover awards, etc. Each girl gets some type of award--best floor, most improved bars, etc. They are just pieces of paper--they give out some fun awards--best feet, best smile, that come with little gifts--cheap things. After the awards presentation (which comes after eating), there is the senior videos (if we have any graduating), then the regular video (about 20 min long). Finally they clear the floor for dancing and the girls dance the rest of the night. Everyone seems to have a lot of fun

Potluck dinner. No fee. At the gym. The girls get dressed up. They all get a plaque and then earn specific awards that can be glued on the plaques -both funny and serious. The girls love the funny ones much better than the serious ones but its a great keepsake to memorialize their year. Their its usually a slideshow made up of photos taken from the meets.

The booster club puts on the banquet. Gymnasts are free. Everyone else pays a ticket that is enough to cover costs (it's not a money loser or a fundraiser). Kids get trophies for being on team, for winning state on any event, etc. There is dinner, awards, then dancing. The girls will dance all night.
