Hi! So here's a little overview: when I was younger I did gymnastics and then switched to TNT. Since then, I quit and now I'm back in normal high school gymnastics. I take private lessons and classes weekly and I have level 10 skills on beam, vault, and floor. the only problem is that I have...
I used to do club gymnastics, but i quit because it was simply too much for my schedule. Now i do highschool gymnastics, and was wondering if an exceptional highschool gymnast could get some sort of scholarship for college gymnastics? and if so, I have heard of college gymnasts competing elite...
I will be a junior this coming school year, and competing level 9 in the winter/spring season.
I've wanted to be part of college gymnastics for a very long time, and my question is, what should I do to become part of it?
If there are any questions you'd need to know about myself to make this...
This fall my daughter will be on a college gym team. I've heard that many parents attend the college meets. How often did you see them compete? Are there meets that are "must" see? The 1st, if they make to reg or nat'ls? Are there booster clubs for these teams too? I'm curious how...
Hey guys! I was wondering what level most gymnasts are when they go in to college gymnastics? I recently found out that at my gym competes 2 years of 7 and 8. I'm going to a Modified Optional (novice or intermediate) my freshman year. So that means by the time I'm a senior I will be a first year...
Does anyone have any suggestions on a College Summer Gymnastics Camp in the Northeast? I was looking at Penn State, but that week doesn't work. DD has done IGC before, but since she is a Freshman in HS, I thought it would be good to have experience on a college campus. I am also looking for a...
My college gymnastics club has been going pretty well lately, but we have one who we have run into a challenge with. He's 6'4", very strong, very into parkour and such. He learned a front tuck and standing back tuck, both above my head height in about an hour last year, and perfected them within...
Just out of curiosity, what does it take to make a D 1 college women's gymnastics team. What does it typically take to get a scholarship? What does it typically take to make college gymnastics teams that are in other divisions?
My dd is a Sophomore in HS. Earlier this Fall she received a couple of “boiler plate” type letters from some colleges, basically saying “Now that you are starting to look at schools, keep us in mind. We can’t talk to you until Sept. 1 of your Junior yr. Blah, blah, blah.” We have no idea how she...
Hi
Im a junior in HS, and looking into a division 3 gymnastics college. I was wondering what types of questions I should email the coach if Im interested? And would it be ok if I asked if they are going to be posting videos of meets for this year? Also how can I ask the coach what type of skill...
im 16 and a sophomore in high school. I was supposed to compete as a level 10 but an ankle injury kept me from doing the harder skills, and eventually i lost them, so this season im competing as a level 8 and im scared my chances of getting a scholarship to Ohio State are gone.
I have another...
Rather than further hijack a previous post, I thought I'd post my question here.
I think I have a pretty good handle (thanks to Bribri and this site) on College gym... Div. I has scholarships, but is very difficult to get into, Div II may offer partial scholarships, Div. III, no scholarships...
So I'm currently a Sr. in highschool.
And no I'm not going to ask you what it takes to be a college gymnast....because I'm only a level 5/6 gymnast right now, so that is not happening.
But I would love to work with gymnastics in the coaching side. I currently coach rec. classes, preschool...
If the main reason you're keeping her in gymnastics is because you hope she's going to get a college scholarship, don't. I mean, I'm sure many/most of the parents on Chalk Bucket have a least a bit of a fantasy of a college gymnastics scholarship in the back of their head, but let's face it, as...
I hope this is the right forum for this. Anyway, I'm a junior and starting to look at colleges. A couple of the ones I'm looking at don't having any gymnastics (div i, ii, iii, or club), and I'm trying to decide how big of a factor that should be - I really can't see myself without some kind of...
Some of you remember me posting about Mo getting the full ride scholarship. We are all so proud of her. And the girls miss her like crazy. They are all counting down the days till she comes home for Christmas.
She is the first girl from DDs gym to get a scholarship like this. Link Removed

There are always questions on the board about Who/What/Why/Where/ and How to become a college gymnast. I thought that this site might be helpful to any who are aiming for this path, or are just College Gymnastics fans.
For those wanting to know How to become recruitable...check...
