Huh. And I used to think my gramma was crazy when she would hold a wet handkerchief to my wrists on hot days...

^^^^^^^
LOL, I was thinking just the same - many (many, many many..) years ago when I did some dancing, our dance teacher used to send us in to the loos to hold our wrists under the cold tap for 2 minutes before doing another hard set and my mum used to tell us to do it too when we were hot.

This is why the kids beg to go jump in the pool on hot days in the gym. At one gym I worked at the pool is downstairs in the same building.

I used to allow the kids to chew on cups of ice when it got hot in the summer. Sometimes frozen ice cubed juice or just those otter pops.

Working out in the heat (just the 90s) on the weekend on a house renovation really made us and the crew appreciate the frozen popsicles my dad's friend bought (he bought around 30 or 40). Totally hit the spot.

Just wait. We're gonna see gymnasts sitting between rotations with big gloves on their hands from now on. Then GK will make them pretty to match the leotards. ;-)

Ehh, maybe in college or elite programs. Still like most contraptions, takes a lot of time to rotate in or out. Also depends on expense per unit.
