I'm coming from a small gym where we have never competed in DP before (I'm petitioning in) so it's been hard to understand all of the rules and requirements perfectly. Currently my bar routine is Kip, handstand, pak salto, kip, handstand 1/2 pirouette, kip, jump to high, kip, handstand, giant, giant, double fly-away. Will I need to have a free hip handstand or something else or is that routine all set for requirements and bonus? Thanks!

I’m not a judge, so someone please correct me if I’m getting this wrong, but I believe this routine as is would have only .1 of bonus and .1 in composition deductions. So highest score would be a 9.7 if done perfectly.

If you added a clearhip handstand before the pak that would fix the composition and give another .1 of bonus. You’d still be at a 9.9, so would need another bonus to be at a 10. Lots of girls at level 9 don’t have full bonus and 0 composition deductions though.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
