How high should the swings be on the high bar before the flyaway dismount? (front and back swings)

What are the deductions if they aren't met? Thanks!

I don't think the back swing has a min height but should get a fair bit away from bar and hen swinging at front you must be even or higher with bar before you release

Counter(back) swings should reach 15 degrees below horizontal (or higher). The toes should be horizontal with the high bar on the front swing. If not, there are deductions of up to .2 on each side of each swing. Plus other deductions for shape errors, dynamics, etc.

Edit: the counter swing is measured from the bar/hands to the hip, not to the toes.

USAG L5 Code " As the feet approach the level of the high bar, release the bar with an open shoulder angle, maintaining a nuetral head position. The body continues to rise to execute a Flyaway Dismount, with the salto performed at a minimum of high bar height in a Tuck, Pike or Stretched position. "

Deductions (as mentioned above) include the swing height (EG: No deductions at UB height, up to .2 w/hips 45' below bar, .25-.3 greater than 45' below bar.) , any salto shape deductions (EG: insufficient bend of hips and legs (ideally 90') up to .2), and landing deductions.

I hope the above assist Kayjaybe.
Best wishes, SBG -
