My daughter has been doing competitive gymnastics for the past 4 years. She is now a level 7. We had a couple minor injuries in the past, our orthopedic told us that one of the leading causes for injury is improper nutrition. Since then, we have pretty much followed the nutrition guideline in this chart (Nutrient Chart Link).. now it seems like she gets enough of the proper nutrients to remain healthy and keep from getting injured.

It's just a guide, but I find it helpful. You have to fill in the specific meals but we incorporate a fair about of fish (tuna, salmon) , fruit, green vegetables, yogurt and lots of water.
