Well, this past season the lower level girlies wore black leos with pink trim. The higher level girls wore pink with black. Last year I was able to buy a used leo for Kadee. Well, this year I was expecting to have to buy her another used one, because she has outgrown the one she has. But found...

Okay, so here you post the longest handstand you ever held! Read everything below before you post, to make sure that your handstand qualifies.

Communication at my gym is not great, but I am trying to be better than the average. I am planning a notice to the families to cover some useful information for those who have never done gymnastics competitions before.
Any suggestions on what to include would be helpful. What you were told...

Ok i was watching some youtube videos and noticed one girl was wearing pants over her leotard in a competition, not shorts, pants. I was curious as to why and saw in the comments that she had an injury so that wearing a leotard was painful but she appeared to be wearing a leotard under her pants...
My question is this: Are there any gyms in the New England Area that host or compete USAG Levels 1, 2 or 3? This has been an ongoing debate at our gym for some time. There are coaches that believe the Levels should not compete and others that do.
I was wondering if there was a USAG policy on getting a refund on the meet if your child is injured. I had heard somewhere that you could get a refund with a note from a doctor. Is this true? Or do you just suck it up?
I have heard that there is some place gymnasts can send in footage from their meets and have a judge send them back specific feedback for a fee. Does anyone know anything about this?
So my DD finally competed her first optional competition this past weekend. It was the Sand Dollar Invitational and had a lot of great competitors. She did a really good job and I am so proud of her. Here is a video of the meet:
YouTube - 7 year old Kyrie's 1st Level 7 Competition
After a knee injury in November and sitting out for 2 months.. only 3 weeks of practice..and she was finally able to compete in her first level 6 meet! It was really a great set-up for her first meet of the season. It was a very small meet..and basically an intra-squad..there was only one...
Well, she did very well for her first meet. She def. made her fair share of mistakes, and form breaks..ect. But all in all..she did pretty darn good.
The vault she got 9.4, 3rd place. The video of it isnt very good, a coach from another team was blocking most of it.
The bars she got 8.05, 4th...
Today my daughter participated in a mock meet with her club to show the girls in the developmental program what they could look forward to if they continued on and made team. Her club doesn't begin competing until Level 5, so she performed the Level 4 routines at the meet with the rest of the...
Hi Chalkbucket,
I recently got a new team leotard. I love it, it's beautiful, but it gives wedgies like crazy!!! It's also quite itchy which bothers me too. It's too big in the butt if that's a factor. Any help is very, very apprciated!
Thank you!
Kadee will compete for her very first time Friday night at 6pm central time. She is soooo excited. She has the advantage persay of it being a home meet. But, her gym does not have seating in the gym (this is something they do on purpose..lol). Which is nice on day to day, but not when it comes...
Does anyone have advice on how to handle a child with sensitive skin? My daughter complains about how itchy her leo feels and ends up breaking out in hives sometimes after her meets. We have tried to use powder and that helps a little. Also, she has used liners but doesn't like how they feel...
I'm sure there are so many ways out there, but I'm curious what you do as a coach and what parents have experienced. I started thinking about this because some parents at DD's gym were talking about gyms they had left and the mom said they did too many routines. Then another mom said they left...
