My dd had her first comp the other day. She did so well, and her beam which is normally the worst one, she did it beautiful. The good news is now she is moving up to the next level. I am so proud of her.
Daughter finished school today and did so well in her 4th grade report card, received all 90's, got first honors and was awarded a medal for outstanding achievement. She was so excited that the first thing that came out of her mouth was see I can still do gymnastics and get good grades...
So, in the last two weeks, DD has regained her RO/BHS/BT and her Cast Handstand. She had these skills a year ago, but lost them somehow after leaving her old gym in Maryland and moving to a gym in Nebraska. We've since moved her again to another gym in town, and her new Coach has been spending...
Hi all,
I have been AWOL for awhile but wanted to pop in and brag a little!! Alex got her Round off back handspring back tuck on the floor this week! She has actually had it for quite a while on tumble trak and air floor but she lacked the confidence to do it on the floor. Not any more!! She...
Yesterday at practice Midget got her cartwheel on the beam. Girlie was very excited about having a skill for next year early.
And for all that saw last years debacle known as her vault, she is doing way better with the L4 vault.
Current needs are: Front hip circle, connecting her ROBHS, and...
Little DD, who started L4 in April, got her standing BHS without a spot today (on the trampoline, but still!:)). So proud of her! Way to go, little gymmie! She's so proud of her brand new "big girl" skill!
(she's been doing RO BHS with a lighter and lighter spot on the floor this week so I...
Although I am always in awe of my children, it is such a nice surprise when it's unexpected.
My little gymnast is amazing and never ceases to impress me. . . however, my 13 year old dancer started taking gymnastics this past January. I was very impressed and excited for her when she got her...
I got my back handspring on beam tonight at practice! my coach said I had to have it to go to level 9 (Yes, I managed to get this far without...;)) And I finally got it! The funny thing is I already have my layout stepout on beam. It was the bhs that was killing me!:D I'm so excited!
I've been back in my gym for three weeks now and I've been subbing for lots of different classes, but I have been able to coach our progressive class (levels 1,2, and 3) almost consistently for the last couple weeks. And today it paid off :D One girl FINALLY made two pullovers and got her back...
Hey guys its been a while, things here have been crazy with my health. The kids have been back and forth to my parents as I have been in and out of the hospital. This has made things difficult for amber and the gym. So yesterday was states and her last level 3 competition. She has not hit a 36...
...do her KIP for the very first time!:D:D:D
She's been training L5 for a month and a half and having no luck with the darn kip (she's also lost her squat on too). Her hands are TORN up and she had to sit out of bars twice this week due to rips.
Tonight there was a birthday party at the gym...
My MJ competed for the first time as a new level 4 team member(she's been on the team for 1 month now) at her gym's spring in-house meet. And she just got her ROBHS last night at practice and was able to compete it today with no spot. She got 1st place on floor, 2nd on bars(she did great, but...
after all the struggling with back walkovers until just recently.
Little Emily got her back handspring on medium high beam last night like she had been doing them forever.
WE are still repeating level 6 next fall because back tumbling has not gotten better and she is still not connecting her...
I just wanted to write down how happy I am of my little 6 year old dd. She has been practising back saults and she got it last night, She was so happy, it was so cute actually, jumping up and down screaming lol.
So Midget is moving to level 4 as I have said before. But wait, the coaches decided to change how they select the girls for the next level. Before they picked who they thought would be able to get the skills, now they have to have all the skills by April.
EEP!!
Midget was sick most of the...
DD had her 2nd Prep Op Rookie 2 meet today. Apparently she brought her A game to the gym today. Who knew ...........
We were a little out of our element because our girls were split into two groups so some were on one event and some on another (it is hard to cheer and watch two events and...
Emma did her ROBHS 10 times by herself across the floor with no spot.!!! I am so proud of her. She was moved back to level 3 for a fear of throwing it. She would shake all over and not throw it. Her coaches were very patient and let her take tumbling with her regular gymnastics classes. She was...
To think . . . I wasn't going to video tape this meet at all . . .
This was Jess's first home hosted meet. She was really excited, more about hosting then competing. She was all about helping at the other meets and handing out awards etc.
But first, she had to compete.
Up first is beam...
