    Women Coach/Judge Parent/Judge

My question is: Can a USAG judge judge a meet where her own gymnasts are competing and her own daughter? Meaning she would be judging her own team and her own daughter. If it isn't, how do you go about reporting this type of thing because it is clearly unfair.

Women Coach won't let Dd do routines

Hey all! So Dd is thriving at her new gym after a switch 2 months ago. She loves the gym, coach and the girls so it has been an easy transition. She competed Level 4 last fall at her previous gym, got the required "move-up score" at states and the coach said she could train with the level 5s...

Women Gymnast and a coach parent

I coach an 8 year old gymnast whose mother did gymnastics in the past. Her mum is my assistant coach and has been over a year. She is a wonderful assistant for me and she's really good with the kids. She's a warm and steady person but demanding coach and does great job. The problem is her...

Parents Today my 5yo asked her coach...

for salt for her hands. At first he was confused but then realized she wanted chalk. We all got a good laugh out of it, I love little kids. I'm still not sure if she thinks you salt your hands or if she was just having trouble pronouncing chalk.

Coaches Officially JUST a "bench" coach for now

Well, I have had shoulder pain for a while (knew it was my rotator cuff and was trying to "rest" it and all that good stuff and avoid surgery). Well, Friday, the pain got so much worse that I had to make my brother finish cleaning the house. Saturday I went to Urgent Care. The doctor examined...

Women Thank you gift for out of state coach/gym

Can anyone give me a suggestion for a gift to a gym/coach my daughter practiced over the Christmas season? The owners let my daughter practice with his team for as many days as she wanted at no charge! It was such a surprise! My daughter ended up practicing for 4 days between 2-5 hours each...

    Women Coach's comment...

In the last few weeks my coach has made negative comments about my body type/weight. Fortunately I'm leaving this gym in springtime, but for the moment I don't know how to deal with this. I believe that comments about body types have no place in the gym... especially when directed towards...

Dear coaches, in the gym I'm working I have this two 'assistent' coaches who I'd like to educate to be a WAG coach. These two girls are 17 yo and I'm giving them a bit of responibility during training. I think the only way to keep them enthousiastic to become a coach is to give them the...

So I recently passed my level 2 coaching exam and am now considering whether to do level 3 women's artistic. However I'm slightly confused as to how it works as it seems to be different from level 2 in that there are technical modules as well as a generic level 3 course?I was wondering if there...
