I'm competing level 7 down in phoenix this year in February and I'm wondering if I can do these skills when competing there:
1 1/2 backwards twist on floor
tsuk on vault
1/2 twist backwards to punch front on floor
also what sort of skills are level 7's doing on floor and vault?
anything...
Another L7 meet on Sunday. Her giants are getting consistent so that is a big relief! Her big troubleS now are her full on floor, front handspring pike, and beam in general. This past Thurs she split it badly and has been afraid to do beam in general, and guess what is was on?? Yep, that darn...
I just had to post and tell you all about how proud I am of my dd. :)
dd who is 9 had her first level 7 meet this past weekend, it was just a practice meet so it didn't count, but there were judges there to score and provide feedback. I am so proud of her. She has been working so hard. Between...
Dance series with a min. of 2 elements, one a leap (one foot takeoff) requiring 180° cross or side split
My daughter is doing a straddle leap and then goes to the floor, similar to the level 6, and then does some other dance moves. Does that fullfill the above requirement?
In a level 7 floor routine, do you need 2 A dance skills or 2 B dance skills? We had a routine done recently and DD coach said she has 2 A dance skills not 2 Bs and she wants to change the routine.
My DD will be a second year level 7. She has 1 teammate new to our club also a 2nd year level 7 and 3 other new to level 7. She is glad to finally have a team land loves them last year she was the only level 7 . They have been working on beam routines. DD has to change her mount last year she...
I'm just curious what the skills are for L7 for each event. Minimum, like, I know they like to have them do BHS on beam, but can do 2 BWO's instead. & what are the dismounts? That kind of stuff...
Thanks!
Hi everyone! I'm new here and I have a dd, Emma who's almost 8 (Friday) who's a level 6. (Just made it) Her coach is considering pre-optional level 7 to prepare her for level 7 and just skip level 6 skills. Is this a good idea? Has anyone heard of this before? And can someone explain to me...
This question should be cleared up pretty quickly I do believe. I had heard that there was a USAG discussion about a vault change for optionals. I know that level 8's are allowed to do (limited) yurchenkos, but I know it was also discussed that level 7's would be permitted to do a yurchenko...
ok, so I have been in level 6 for two years now and the only thing that is holding me back from level 7 is bars. I mean I am getting better at bars but the whole giant thing is what scares me. does anything have any advice for giants and fear of doing them...
Well my dd survived her first level 7 meet. She did ok - not great, not terrible. She was very happy with how she did though - she wasn't expecting miracles. She did it to get the experience before the official start of the season after the summer and just wanted to go out and give it a shot...
Just wondering where exactly I can find a list of skills for level 7 listed by "A" skills "B" skills etc.... USAG site has not really been helpful for me on that. Thanks for the assist!!!:)
I have a question about the leap/jump series in level 7. My dd is going to run and do a straddle jump into a tuck full turn jump. Her coach is a great choreographer - but her English isn't great and sometimes things get lost in translation when looking at the requirements. Does there have to...
Does anyone know where I can find (on line) a list of skills needed (according to USAG standards) for L6 and L7? Just looking for a list....does anyone know where to find such a thing? Thanks for your help!
I have a question on how Rec Optional can fit into possibly advancing into L7 (USAG) if at all. So my question is: Can you use a Rec Opt Advanced meet as some sort of qualifier for Optional L7 (USAG)? If it is a dumb question my apologies in advance!
My gymie is level 7 and competes USAG. We are wondering if it would be better to do a full or layout on her first tumbuling pass. She is currently doing for her first pass RO BHS FULL and the third pass is RO BHS LAYOUT. Her full is good probably better than her layout but, is only scoring low...
I want to make it to lvl 7 next year so I already
have been thinking about possible routines, skills, etc and trying them out.
I know the requirements but:
1) Is a scale, reach down into frontwalkover-roundoff a valid arco series?
2) Is a full turn from knee an A or B value skill?
Thanks.
