Just wondering if anybody has any ideas or drills that help me with the following problem. One of my gg's seems to be twisting in the middle of her backhandspring! her roundoff is straight, going into the flip is straight, and then twisting hips in the air which brings her down crooked. I have...
I just got my roundoff back handspring but for some reason I can't get my chest up and end up crashing on my knees or thudding onto my feet with my hands still on the ground. Also, I tend to go way crooked in my bhs even though my roundoff is straight. Does anyone have tips to fix these problems??
ok, so im a third year level 5 and have faced many injuries over the years i have just got back to doing everything and am trying to move up to level 6. my tumbling isnt the strongest but i need to get my back tuck any suggestions to help me get my back tuck sooner?
My college gymnastics club has been going pretty well lately, but we have one who we have run into a challenge with. He's 6'4", very strong, very into parkour and such. He learned a front tuck and standing back tuck, both above my head height in about an hour last year, and perfected them within...
so recently my coachs realized im not getting both of my shoulders back during my ro bhs, so ones a little forward, while the others further back during the BHS part of the ROBHS. i also do this during my regular bhs. my coaches can't seem to find a solution. they just tell me to throw both my...
Im at a loss. I have a few level 4's that will not connect their robhs in the floor routine. This will be our 2nd meet and Im at a loss. I have tried everything from drills, spotting, and verbially supporting them. Any suggestions? Im getting to the point where if they dont start working harder...
I have a level 4 that wants me to spot her on her ROBHS in her floor routine during our competition. A part of me wants too but yet I need her to not reley on me to always help her. Any thoughts?? Also whats the greater deduction a coach spotting or eliminating the BHS?
Hi everyone! My dd's have had lots of recent accomplishments but the title says the two biggest!
Little dd, 6 yrs and trying for Level 4, did 3 RO BHS on the resi last night with the coach there just in case! She also recently did a couple beam dismounts by herself and how has her whole bar...
I been in gymnastics for a couple of months now and I just stated level 4 . And for my floor routine I need to do a round off backhandspring and I can do it with a spotter , And the spotters barely touch me .
But when I do it by myself I do my round off and then I stop , And then i do my...
somehow my question is gone, so here is it again:
Do you teach a good BHS before you add it to the RO ? That is my opinion but our headcoach..long story short..insist to teach the BHS directly from the beginning with a RO....???
Rylee has really been working on her ROBHS and has been so determined to be able to do it by herself... well, last Monday (October 11th) she did it :)
Here's a quick video of her from the the first day she did it (this was like her 5th or 6th one). She's been doing it at practice since and...
I have had my ROBHS for about two years now. I guess the problem of landing my round off with my legs wide apart was never fixed or corrected much until now. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on keeping feet together for the round off before the back handspring. My round off on its own is...
Older dd has this skill. She can do it on the tumble track by herself-no spots. Her coach is trying to get her to do the ROBHSBHS on the tumble track. BUT....on the floor she can do it with an imaginary spot. She can do it with her coach within 5 feet of her. She won't throw it with coach off...
Can anyone recommend anything at all to help with my daughter's RO BHS BHS? She has a very lovely L5 floor routine but just cannot clean the BHS up...she either has bent legs or legs way apart or both. No matter what she does, she cannot do the BHS with legs straight and together! If she gets...
Well I can do my BHS if i focus really hard, but when i put the RO with it, it goes all out of whack. My coaches said I need to control my rebound more, but I guess im just scared and havent gotten the knack of it. And my front hip, well, Im close but Im opening up too much and Im not goin...
So last night at gym my coach dislocated her arm and she wanted us to try roundoff back handspring. (Roundoff on the cheese/wedge back handspring on crash mat). I had never even done a backhandspring without the hill (though my coaches thought I was ready to try) and I got it the first time I...
I have a meet this weekend, and i am pretty nervous!!! It's our first meet of the season, and it's in a colisuem! Anyways I {DESPERATLY!!!} need fairies/prayers for my kip and robhs!! I just got my kip two weeks ago, so it's still not good. and I have my robhs, I just lost it and I know i...
