...and dd is not to happy. She did okay....she had big trouble on the bars ...fell off on mill circle, I swear she just let go, got 7.0
Vaulted awesome...as it is her strongest even 9.5..placed 3rd for 8yo (which she will not be until 2/14 but did not know that they aged them by age @...
Tonight I put up Bug's 2nd level 4 meet video. Some improvements, still needs brakes on the mill circle though. She ended up being in the most populated age group, but did still place on all events.
Thanks for looking.

I am sure the line on the mat stack must mean something but I have no Idea what it is? I asked DD and she didn't know. Are they supposed to be over the line, not over the line and what is the deduction if they aren't?
Seriously, I am just throwing this out there to anyone who wants to comment. I am curious as to why level 4's are held back for 2 or even 3 years. I can tell you about my DD and why she was held back. She went to L4 without having very many L4 skills and thrown into her first meet after only 6...
We weren't sure what we were doing up until this weekend. DD went to practice on Weds night and did some stuff on the the tumble trak and some conditioning. On Thursday night a judge was there to score their routines and give them advice on how to better their scores. Poor DD couldn't vault...
My DD is already qualified for L4 states...she was held back in L4 until she had all her skills. The coach has said she was going to move her up before the end of the season, and there is one meet after L4 states but before L5 states and sectionals.
I know that for L4 states, qualification is...
My DD had her first Lvl 4 practice today! We compete in the fall so our new training starts now. She was very excited to start the new level. However I think the biggest thing to her today was getting a Locker at the gym. Who knew a locker would mean so much to a 9 year old.:D
Ok, not sure if i have mentioned but my DD has made the transfer from a rec team to the USAG team in early December and did awesome at her first meet. Now with the 2nd meet on Saturday, I am needing good luck fairies to go her way again. She seemed to have really improved, but keeping my...
Here another request for gym fairies for this weekend. DD has her second level 4 meet this Sunday. At this meet they will be broken down into age groups and get awards for events and all around. DD is in the 6-7 age group, and there are really only about 40 some girls in the rotation total...
Sabrina has her second L4 meet of the year (she is repeating level 4...last year she had pretty awful form, so the coaches held her back...it was definitely the right decision, now she's like the princess of the floor routine):D
She tied for 2nd place AA at the first one, but she started coming...
Hey guys--well I survived dd's first gymnastics meet. It was so much fun! The girls looked like they were having so much fun out there! Dani did so well! I am so incredibly proud of her! Here is the breakdown:
Floor - 8.50 - 7th place
Vault - 9.45 - 2nd place
Bars - 9.00 - 2nd place
Beam -...
Well, the time has finally come...Dani has her 1st Level 4 meet on Sunday! She is very excited but a little nervous. The girls have been working really hard so I am sure that they will all do well. Since this is their first real meet with other teams, they really don't know what to expect, so I...
So, I'm back coaching and helping out coach L4 boy's. I've reviewed and kept current with the routines going over the DVD a few weeks ago and going over the notes more.
Any of those L4 coaches wishing to comment on coaching these routines. Things to look for, etc.
There really isn't anything...
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I finally figured out how to upload photos, and I posted some of the photos taken at the meet, not by me of course! I can never get a decent pic. :D I thought I would share them with all of you.
After having read a lot of meet reports on here, I thought I would share a report on my DD's 2nd L4 meet. It went a lot better this time around, and I was so proud of her, so I can't help sharing! :D
Vault - 9.25 - tied for 3rd place
Bars - I thought her routine looked better than the first...
My dd had her 2nd Level 4 meet today. She did do better than she has been :)
BUT, she got confused on the floor and quit :( She walked off crying 1/2 way through. The judge was even going to let her do it again, but she wouldn't. She's 6, so I'm hoping it's her maturity level. What do...
My dd has her state meet this sun. please send good luck her way.She has been struggling with her shoot thru last thur I did not see her practice and she told me her coach told her to stay on bars till she got it well she said she made it 4x so last night she wanted me to see it well no shoot...
Here is the update on Bug's first level 4 meet. I will get video up later today.
For the level 4's they received scores that were not flashed, and also there was no placements given for either all around or events. Everyone received the same partication medal and ribbons for each event...
My oldest DD had her last in-house meet last night as a L3. She got a 37 something all-around and she starts L4 this week. We are very excited for her. She scored really well...
