Strange question. Those who made top 8 for Region 8 for each state. Do girls generally wear long sleeve leotards for this or tank style. Just worried about sizing for my daughter. She is one size for tank and another for long sleeve. Just curious if any one knows what may have been in the past...
Our girls are going to the region 2 level 7 invitational meet. Has anyone been before or to one in there region? What is it like, pretty intense, laid back? We've never been before so just curious. We should at least see some teams we haven't seen before but not sure since those teams would...
I am thinking of hosting a gymnastics meet and I was just wondering if it was required to have a meet director. Many meets have them so I was just curious!
Thanks x
I'm having a bit of an anxiety attack (not at all dramatic or over the top.) :D:p
DD's state meet is coming up this weekend. She is level one. We switched gyms mid season (long story), and she was not going to do any meets until next year as a level 3 (did several meets at old gym). Her new...
I was bored and missing gymnastics over spring break so I was re-watching my old meet videos. My dad was the one videotaping while my mom (unknowingly) entertained all the parents in the stands with her monologue that I could then hear when I watched my meet on the camera. Even though my mom...
Hi. I am a 31 year old woman. I was a rec kid. Now I have joined an adult class which I am really enjoying. I am currently working on handsprings, flysprings and front somersaults in class using the tumble track. I really need to motivate myself to do more conditioning and drills outside of...
The schedule for DDs state meet was put out and it is on a Saturday afternoon, same time as her normal practice. Due to this she will not practice for 5 days before the meet. She is concerned this is too long to not practice before a meet (the 5 days of no practice has been a constant bone of...
How much money typically goes directly to your booster club from hosted meets each year? Do not count any money that the club takes...just the booster club or parent organization.
Had our first tough meet this weekend. First one for most of the girls (and parents!) where you wonder what in the world the judges wanted to see - and knowing that it was apparently NOT what we were doing! I was ready to eventually be at a meet with "tough" scoring, but it just seemed really...
I just recovered from a foot injury and I came so late in the season that I only have 3 meets to qualify I got only one 32 on one I need one more 32 tomorrow to qualify please help I'm new level 4
Hi! I am new here and just learning to navigate the page, so I apologize if my question has already been asked and discussed previously.
I'm wondering if someone could explain to me what Flight A and Flight B mean at a meet when the teams are all starting at the same time. Are both flights...
Cgm coming out .... Warning!!
So my dd competed at a meet last weekend and her vault score on her score card was 8.850 ( that's what was on the scoreboard as well) however on the meet website, and my meetscores online it has her score as 8.8. So here is my question do I ask her coach to...
My DD has her first meet since beginning of December this weekend. She was out with an elbow injury. She just started back training routines and skills a few weeks ago. Prior to that she was doing only limited conditioning. She's still not fully back (elbow not ready for full impact skills)...
DD is a level 8 who is about to turn 13. After a very strong level 7 season, she has been struggling with level 8. At her first meet, she got a 33.8, which I thought was a pretty decent start. She's always been a kid whose scores improve over the course of the season, but this year her scores...
HI all-- Posting again (middle of road gymnast mom here)... DD just turned 9 (like days ago), is L5, and cannot seem to have a good clean meet in her first year at USAG. AA scores range from 31.5-33.5 and most interesting to me is that she seems to falter at meets but do well in one or 2...
Anyone getting sick of these yet ;)
D had a meet today, and was going up against "the big gym" in our area, as well as the kid in his age group that is undefeated this season (and a good friend of D's.)
The meet went out 3 places for events, which was kind of nice.
He did great on floor...10.9...
My daughter is competing in her first meet tomorrow. She is competing in Amerikids level 1. I know this is a recreational level, but it is the path most of the gymnasts in our gym follow, and we have girls clear up to level 10. Regardless of the level , we are excited for the first meet!
