It was our state meet this weekend and DD did a fantastic job coming on 3rd AA for her division and 15 out of all of the level 6s. She didn't win any events but came in 3rd on floor with her highest score of the year, 4th on bars with another season high score, 5th on vault with her second...
USAG Level 8 States 9 year old - YouTube
Well another season over. After a spinal cord injury last summer and 10 weeks out of the gym Little ONE did great to end the season. Flipped and stood up her vault, beautiful bar routine, great beam and rocking good floor. Second best AA score for the...
My little one has struggled a little bit to put up really high finishes this year. She didn't win a single gold medal all year. In fact, I don't think she cared at all about trying to win. That was fristrating for me. I try to teach my kids that competing to try to win is more important than...
I'm so proud of my little DD! This was her very first state meet and she had a personal best for every event. The competition was tough, and she had three 5th place finishes, one 8th place, and 4th All Around in her age group of 15. Her AA score was 36.75, also a personal best. There were...
Little man was state champ for rings, and placed well in his other events and placed in AA. A very good day for him and his teammates. According to his coach and current schedule, it looks like level 5 is in the cards for next season. Nice to see him getting his own day in the sun since his...
He (now) says that last night his ankle started hurting a little during practice; but not enough to say anything. Then he went outside and played on the playground - I didn't realize that he did this without shoes on. Just before going to bed he mentioned that his foot hurt; but he often...
So proud of dd, she went from an injury to start her season to saving the best meet for last. She was solid last night and in a very tough age group. Level 7 Vault 9.4, Bars 9.225 8th place, Beam 9.225 8th place, Floor 9.325 10th place and an AA of 37.175 9th place. Her team of 5 girls took...
Yesterday, my just turned 7 year old (last week) competed at her first state meet! It was a tough meet in comparison to others we've been to this year. Overall, she did amazing. She placed on 6th on bars, 10th on beam, bronze on floor and 4th all around! Vault was a disaster with her literally...
This was a short season! My dd didn't start competing until February due to injury, and now states are in 10 days. We just received the schedule- 8AM start time (ugh) and she is all by herself again this year. The rest of her team will be competing in the next session after her. My DH can't...
Ok DD has had one rash of injuries after another. Today is the High School state meet and her team is going for the 4th straight year in a row (crossing fingers). 1/2 the team is injured with braces, supports, taped ankles etc. So we are hoping they can pull it off. My own DD is doing vault...
USTA state meet was held this past weekend and it went pretty darn well! After not being in the gym since Nationals 2010 and going back in November 2011 for only an hour a week, DD brought home some great trophies. DD is state champion on trampoline and high score for all advanced level girls...
I have been debating putting this one out there since it is not my child, but had to do it. My DD team mate finally decided to giver her tsuk a whirl the day before state meet. She had trained them on and off before this but nothing consistent. It was going well so coach let her do it and she...
Hi there. I have a son who is competing level 5 this year. It's hard to believe the state meet is this weekend! This will be his 4th and final meet for the season (he is only 7, not going to regionals as we aren't traveling for meets this year).
It's been amazing to watch his love for the...
Our girls have their state meet on Saturday. I know some of the mommas are getting things for the girls. (last year it was planned and easier).
I am really not creative. Anyone have any good ideas?
Alex had her State Meet Dec 3rd and had the best meet so far this season!
They only had 1 qualifier meet leading up to this meet and she just barely qualified to even go to states! Needed a 32 AA and got a 32.050 AA.
There were a total of 15 girls competing if you combine all age groups...
State meet-the toughest meet of the season. She was in a much tougher section this year than last and I had no idea how things would go. Of course to look at her, she showed no nerves. ;) Started on floor-she put out the best floor routine of the season after working hard on it at practice the...
DD had her L5 State Meet today. After a rough season she had a wonderful day. so proud of her. After barely qualifying for states she pulled her AA score up almost an entire point and got her highest vault score of the season.
she was about as consistent as you could get today !!
started out...
DD has her L5 State Meet on Saturday. Has been a struggle for her this season & am I just hoping she has the best day she can & has fun. She is the only girl from her team in her session which is sometimes hard for her (social butterfly).
Last year the GA state meet posted results in Level 4 age 6-7 Jr. and Level 4 age 6-7 Sr.
What did that mean? Did they put all the 6-7 year olds in order by birthday and cut them down the middle? Or does it have to do with how they scored at earlier meets?
