OK....this won't be as involved as some of the great reports...the details are always fuzzy for me!
Started on Vault...first in her flight...9.5 Lowest score in the flight
On to bars...AWESOME 9.7 (started in level 7 at a 8.4) WOOT WOOT...
My daughter and her team (Camden Gymnastics) did AWESOME at the Georgia USAG Xcel bronze meet today.
DD got 1st on beam and all around with a 37.5
Her team got 1st with a 114.65. And 2 of her team made the state team for regionals. The while team qualified for regional all stars as well. We...
There were two really cool things I saw at my daughter's state champs weekend- one involving my princess and the other not.
The first was that two girls from the same gym tied for first all around in their age division. That is going to be a lifetime bond and the excitement they shared on the...
Hi there. I have a son who is competing level 5 this year. It's hard to believe the state meet is this weekend! This will be his 4th and final meet for the season (he is only 7, not going to regionals as we aren't traveling for meets this year).
It's been amazing to watch his love for the...
Our girls have their state meet on Saturday. I know some of the mommas are getting things for the girls. (last year it was planned and easier).
I am really not creative. Anyone have any good ideas?
Any thoughts on the changes to TOPS testing? I'm interested particularly in thoughts on the skill and skill combination testing. And if your child is in a "TOPS program" are you aware of the changes.
I'm new to CB & looking for advice and/or support. We recently moved to a new state for work and had to find a new gym. The old gym was a big, established gym and very successful. In our new city, there are not many options for gymnastics. We did find a gym in the new state and my daughter has...
These awesome girls did an exhibition at the NC State Meet 1/14/2012.

How do you qualify for state in your state and level? It seems to vary from state to state. Why isn't it uniform for everyone competing JO for example or X-Cel since those are nationwide programs?
I think our state gets the bum deal compared to a lot of states I read about on here. It's not a...
Alex had her State Meet Dec 3rd and had the best meet so far this season!
They only had 1 qualifier meet leading up to this meet and she just barely qualified to even go to states! Needed a 32 AA and got a 32.050 AA.
There were a total of 15 girls competing if you combine all age groups...
State meet-the toughest meet of the season. She was in a much tougher section this year than last and I had no idea how things would go. Of course to look at her, she showed no nerves. ;) Started on floor-she put out the best floor routine of the season after working hard on it at practice the...
DD had her L5 State Meet today. After a rough season she had a wonderful day. so proud of her. After barely qualifying for states she pulled her AA score up almost an entire point and got her highest vault score of the season.
she was about as consistent as you could get today !!
started out...
DD has her L5 State Meet on Saturday. Has been a struggle for her this season & am I just hoping she has the best day she can & has fun. She is the only girl from her team in her session which is sometimes hard for her (social butterfly).
She qualified!
The meet started very rough. They were first on beam and the warm up lasted all of 1 min. She was able to do her series (cartwheel/cartwheel) once before competing. She fell on her series and her full turn. She was in tears which in turn made me cry too. Soo hard to watch...
Hi, Had my last comp before state on the weekend and everything went unexpected, some for the worse, some for the better.

Vault: 5th Place
Floor: 4th Place

Last year the GA state meet posted results in Level 4 age 6-7 Jr. and Level 4 age 6-7 Sr.
What did that mean? Did they put all the 6-7 year olds in order by birthday and cut them down the middle? Or does it have to do with how they scored at earlier meets?
My daughter won first in the state meet last year at level 6 in her age group. My question is if she does not get all her level 7 skills by meet season can she compete at level 6 again again?
