Well this is my very first thread of my own. I'm normally really private and don't like bragging about my children, but this seemed worthy of a brag:).
DD just finished up her season at regionals. The night prior, she had written down some personal goals for herself, of which I didn't ask...
My teammate pretty much hit the meet of her life yesterday, AND SHE QUALIFIED TO WESTERNS!! No one really expected it, because our gym hasn't had 9's in FOREVER so she's kind of an experiment.. Lol. But we are so proud of her and I just wanted to say congrats to everyone on the CB who qualified...
Usually it's the parents on here bragging about their DDs, but I've got to crow a little about my wonderful coaches and teammates! All three of our level 9s qualified to Regionals and competed yesterday...and all three of them qualified to Western Nationals! I got to watch the two older girls...
My DD's class had their mock competition today, and she came first! She forgot to bring the score sheet home, but hopefully I'll be able to get a copy from someone. I wasn't there as I was at work, and another mum had said she would video it for me, but it sounds like she didn't after all, so...
After spending months watching Bella work and work on her mill circle, I was shocked by how quickly she nailed her front hip circle. Seriously something like three class meetings and now she has it. So bizarre how kids acquire skills at different rates.
So I am proud of her and somewhat...
I posted awhile back that DD was struggling to get her kip and finally tonight she was able to do 5! I'm just so proud of her and happy for her. I have to admit that I thought it was never going to happen. It felt that way anyway. She had done some "accidently" when she was first learning...
Ok, well all year my coach has been trying to figure out what level i was going to do. We had finally decided on repeating four (this was before my massive collection of skills) with all 4 apparatus but since that decision (and a pair of grips) I have got my BWO on beam :D :D My RO - BHS - BT...
My dd struggles with her bhs she is training level 5 and tonight she got her double bhs!! It even looked pretty good, lol! She did it about 10 times and she was so excited, I love to see them when they get a skill they have been working so hard on:)
Kadee got a certificate from her Kindergarten yesterday saying she has been moved up to a 1st grade reading and math level.
I have always thought she was smart and wise..but Im her Momma..Im supposed to think that way..lol
Just wanted to throw my shameless brag out there. ;)
ok well Last night was one of the best practices of my life, we did beam and vault and on beam my split jumps were WAY more split than before, My split leaps on beam were 180 degrees (they almost always are but they were feeling really high) got my full turn and stuck 7 in a row perfectly...
for a change it isn't my dd but my ds. He is 5 years old and has just started gymnastics as they have a rec class after my dd. He came home the other day so proud of himself and said mum have a look what I can do. He did a pullover all by himself, then went and played his first soccer game and...
OMG! My DD did outstanding at her meet. Her last meet was tough, and it just hurt her that she didnt do well. (It was my fault, as I let her stay at her other gmas house, and I found out she didnt get to bed till 2:30 a.m. I was super pi**ed. I said never again before a meet. Lesson learned.)...
I am 14 yrs old and I started gymnastics at 13 with no prior experience. I am very proud of the progress I have made so far. I compete on a prep - opt intermediate team (lvl 5/6) and my hardest skills are:
Bars: flyaway (supposes to be tucked but I pike (not on purpose))
Beam: cartwheel -...
I had previously posted that dd's coach mentioned that she would more than likely be moving to the advanced preschool Level 3 class (Dynamites) in the spring/summer. Well today, I found out that they want her to start Level 3 THIS week! :D
They have a total about 25-30 girls in all of the...
Hi again, It was a strange meet....second to last before States....38.5 AA 9.8 on Floor (best ever), Beautiful Beam routine...9.45??? Strange and bars and vault great...
She was most happy she "got over the vault" LOL. Love this kid....last meet as a 7 year old and her teammates took...
State meet is Sunday - and she's been working SO darn hard on this stupid mill circle. Told me she didn't care about medalling, as long as she got her mill circle.
Well tonight? She came running in from practice screaming "I GOT IT I GOT IT I GOT IT!!!!". Huge smile across her face, beaming...
I never ever thought I would be SO happy about one of my children scoring a 28.25 AA! But I am today. My little DD is in her first L4 season and she has struggled a lot which we knew she would. She has overcome many obstacles including many developmental delays as a toddler and preschooler...
I’m outing myself in a way that I never thought I would on this board. I’m also putting this in the form of a brag and not a solicitation, because I don’t want to cross any lines on this board.
My family and I (along with some other girls at the gym) worked together to create a 60-second video...
