Well, she froggy leaped the vault, but other than that she did great. Wasn't dd's best meet result wise, but she had two personal bests for the season and everyone on her team did absolutely fantastic. The also team took 1st and then we all went out and had a great team dinner. We arrived home...
As I mentioned in another thread, my boy will probably be moving up from L4 to L5 or maybe even L6 pretty soon. All in all, I think he's ready. This weekend at home, he actually made it all the way through the L6 mushroom routine.
My concern is for his handstand. Never been a strong point...
I put together a montage of Bailey's team last year when they were in level 6 in 2008. I thought it would be a nice gift for her level 6 coach. Boy have these kids come along way in one year. Don't forget to hit the HQ button if you decide to watch.

We drew the last session, started around 7PM Sunday night. The weather was frightful, big Northeaster blowing through. All in all, it was a nice day.

I am in need of Level 6 Women's JO routines. My daughter has been asking her coach to no avail. She is competing this level this year and would like the specifics on the routines to sharpen her scores. i checked the USA site and couldn't find anything.
THANKS
One of my L6 boys just learned his giants, which he can do for bonus in his routine. However, we're running into issues in plugging them in. When he plugs the giants into his routine (two giants followed by a baby giant and an undershoot), what ends up happenning is that after the two giants...
We are back from our 3rd level 6 meet. 7:15 report time Sat am. Very early. The meet went well and dd was so excited for it.
Vault 8.65 - up from the first two meets. Her vault is inconsistant, but she did a very nice one at the meet. Thank god.
Bars 7.25 - dd is "bars challenged". but...
Well most of you have already seen her floor when I posted my "guess the score game", but here is the rest of the story.....

I was totally a wreck during the warm up. My poor dd could not land her front tuck on her feet. This floor...
:eek:My season's almost over. I feel pretty sure of all my routines, except beam. I wonder what will happen at states. I hope the beam fairy is out there somewhere to give me good luck, and help me stay on the beam (except the dismount!).:)
Hi there. My daughter is a 9yo level 6 and has fallen back on her squat on in her last 2 meets. She just doesn't seem to get her bottom up hight enough. She has a great bar routine but can't seem to do her squat on correctly. As a level 5 she never had a problem. I know the 6 routine is...
Can someone please point out the differences between L6 & L7. While L7 is optional, it doesn't look like the routines are 'that' different than the L6 routines. Also, what skills are added in L7? TIA
Well, the day has finally come. Of course as luck would have it we've drawn the last session wich starts at 6PM tonight, Sunday. The meets about two hours from us and we'll have to factor in some extra time in case we hit any snags on the road. I really hope the session starts on time. DD did...
Yesterday was DD first Level 6 meet. I have posted several times on this forum about how she struggles with bars and appreciate everyones input. I was very worried she would be disappointed in herself at this meet (crazy mom). I had visions of her falling off the beam (that dreaded full...
On the mount, when they go to stand up. What is the deduction if their straight leg drops below the side of the beam. I think it is suppose to be held straight out parallel to the beam, and not touch the beam, or drop below it. Is that correct? Do you know what I mean?
Our daughter just completed her Level 6 Season and is going to start competing Level 7 after Christmas. Our gym moves kids up in either the summer or after the compulsory season, which is now.
She did Level 5 last fall and started competing Level 6 this past January. She's only 10 and...
DD had her L6 State meet last night. She had some decent scores, but ended up tied for 10th place out of 14 girls. I did some research this morning & found out that 7 out of the 9 girls that placed ahead of her were 2nd year Level 6's, so she was up against a tough bunch!
Here are her scores...
