We are leaving this Friday morning EARLY to drive to New Orleans for regionals. I'm excited for my daughter, and I just want her to do well and stick everything. Qualifying to Easterns would be icing on the cake.
Can someone tell me why, just when my dd is really showing that she has what...
Thank you all for the good luck wishes. My daughter was feeling much better today. Her meet, though not stellar, went well. She qualified to regionals with a 35.975 AA, and placed 3rd in the state. Also, 5th on vault and floor and 3rd on bars.
She had a fall on beam, just looked off today...
Is in 2 days, and my gymnast is home throwing up!!!! I need prayers that she will be all better AND feeling strong before Sat. I knew this would happen. Level 8 state was this past weekend, and half the team had fevers, etc on Monday. At least they got sick AFTER their meet. I was like, "Stay...
Did everyone know this but me? I guess I didn't pay attention since dd is a 10 this year, but I haven't heard anyone talking about it.
2. QUALIFICATION TO EASTERN/WESTERN CHAMPIONSHIPS
a. Eastern/Western age divisions will be determined separately. 16 age divisions for East: 8 age divisions...
and we survived:D
Dd missed her team's first meet of the season with what they thought was a stress fracture, but turned out to be sever's:p Plenty of stretching, icing, and chiropractic appointments have managed the sever's, and dd competed last night - finally!!!
Goal was to qualify to...
Dd had her 1st level 9 meet this past weekend. This was the 1st time she was competing in 1 yr, during her level 8 season last year she broke her foot and was out for 4 months, so not only her 1st level 9 meet, but the 1st time competing in awhile!
She started on beam. Coach changed her...
Hi,
I am mom to a gymnast competing level 9 this year. I am trying to learn a bit about her skill level since i know absolutely nothing! In fairly easy terms, can anyone explain what skills she needs to compete on her events? I am familiar with what skills she has on beam (handspring layout...
I've noticed that every level 9 or 10 women's floor routine seems to have 3 tumbling passes. However, unless I missed something, I haven't found anywhere in the rules where the number of tumbling passes required is specified.
Are there any clarifications/interpretations/rules I might have...
HI all! I am currently a level 8 training 9 and I do not know what I should do for my series. For my single skill I am currently working aerials. I need some suggestions for a series. Any help would be appreciated!
Ok, need to know what my gymmie can do to get some bonus for her L9 bar routine. Please don't say ask the coach because this bar coach is clueless as to the COP. Just 1 example would be she told gymmie she had been deducted .5 all year for not casting to a hs on high bar before doing her...
DD had her regional meet L9 this past weekend for R5. It started nicely with a fairly good routine on bars. Not sure what's wrong with it. She's convinced it's her toe to high that maybe she's not swinging up fast enough on the high bar. I don't know. I think she looks beautiful!:) Her...
I was wondering what the level 9 requirements for all events were. I'd also like to know how and what you need to do to get a 10.0 SV on each event. Thanks!
hi lv 9/10 moms. The challenges of an upper level gymnast are so different than the others. I have questions, and sometimes concerns about stuff she is doing and where this is going to take her. We are going to have a meeting with her coach about going elite......have no idea what this means. I...
Hi!
I am a level 8 gymnast training level 9, and I need some help with FORWARD flight series:) I am afraid to back tumble so forward tumbling is what I do best. I was thinking side aerial, side aerial but I don't know if you can do this in 9. Also, what about front tucks? I am working on them...
I'm a bit confused. I've seen lots of level 9 beam routines on YouTube, but the level 9 gymnast on our team doesn't seem to fit them. She never scores well on beam and i was wondering if she was meeting the requirements. I know it seems like none of my business, but the level 9 beam routine that...
My DD competed last season Level 8 with a Dbl Back dismount on bars and Back Tuck on beam, she does not have her min 2 bar changes for Level 9 yet, but basically has everything else. Her options or to stay at Level 8 and give up her Dbl Back & Back Tuck (not allowed this year) or compete Level 9...
What exactly is bonus for level 9? C+C is i think? Is C+B also bonus?
I think on bars a higgins straddle back handstand to a toeshoot (uphill) would be 3 tenths total bonus?
Can you give me some examples of dance combos on beam and floor that would be bonus?
Thank you so much (:
